EASE Germany helped bring TH OWL and NIE Mysuru together—building momentum for student exchange, joint programmes and future collaboration. EASE Germany’s work to connect Indian students and universities with opportunities in Germany took an important step forward through a growing partnership between TH OWL University of Applied Sciences and The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru. The connection began in 2025, when EASE Germany’s Priyanshu Bhardwaj represented TH OWL at CREST 2025 at NIE Mysuru, introducing its new Bachelor’s programme in General Engineering, designed to welcome international students. Dr Christoph Harrach joined the visit at NIE’s invitation. Discussions with NIE’s Prof. Shamsundar Subbarao and colleagues helped build a shared vision for cooperation. The engagement led to an MoU and student-exchange initiatives. On 21–22 September 2026, an NIE delegation visited TH OWL in Lemgo to deepen the partnership and explore next steps. Led by NIE President Dr Ranganath Mysore Sampath Iyengar and Principal Dr Nagendra Parashar B. S., the delegation met TH OWL President Prof. Jürgen Krahl and Vice-President for Internationalisation Prof. Uta Pottgiesser, alongside representatives of the Indian Consulate and local authorities, Bürgermeister (Mayor) Lemgo Markus Baier, Bürgermeister (Mayor) Horn-Bad Meinberg Michael Ruttner. The programme included a workshop on joint educational programmes, a presentation of results from the Indo-German ASA exchange, campus visits in Lemgo and Detmold, and a book donation to the TH OWL library by Consul General Shuchita Kishore. Further discussions explored new projects and opportunities for collaboration. For EASE Germany, this is more than a campus partnership: it is a meaningful contribution to a stronger, more connected Indo-German education ecosystem.
